The CogniDiet’s thermo-booster tea will give a kick to your metabolism and help you eliminate. I was leading a “spices and herbs for weight loss” workshop a few months ago and decided to create my own tea. Green tea and a pinch of cayenne pepper will increase your fat burning abilities. The addition of turmeric provides strong anti-inflammatory properties but also the ability to aid in fat digestion.

Cardamom, cumin and fennel will promote water elimination and give a wonderful flavor to the tea. Some people like to also add cinnamon (a glucose stabilizer) and a little bit of fresh ginger which aids in digestion.

Recipe:

  • 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

Boil 1 quart water and add 1 or 2 bags of green tea. Add a pinch of Cayenne pepper for a kick (be careful). Let simmer. Drink during the day and keep in a good insulated bottle.
