green detox smoothie

This refreshing smoothie will support your digestive and immune system and will give you a vitamin C boost. It is also a good drink before a meal as it will tame your appetite.

For one large glass:

  1. A few spinach leaves (rinsed)
  2. A few slices of cucumber. Even better if you froze them before. I usually get rid of the skin which can be bitter
  3. A few fresh mint leaves
  4. One slice of fresh ginger, peeled, like a half inch, or more if you like it
  5. Squeeze in a half lemon juice
  6. Add a liquid to reach your desired consistency. It can be coconut water, water or any milk or yogurt

Sometimes I add a scoop of protein powder. It makes a full meal. Enjoy
